The ME 35 is the latest Edgebanding machine that the Artis Division has created for the market. The ME35 Edgebander is a new line of edgebander intended to bridge the gap between a traditional small to midsize edgebander for small to mid-size woodworkers; to the more robust equipment used in the Classical line of products. The ME35 is an automatic edgebander with gluepot to edgeband, with great flexibility for both thin and thick edges. This machine is meant to be used with melamine edges, PVC and ABS up to 3mm and wooden strips up to 5mm. SCM Group has the right machine for every application. This amazing machine boasts capacities usually only found on much larger units. Buffing, Scraping, and 3mm edge processing (5mm strips) is standard. What separates this machine from our others is the incorporation of high frequency motors. The ME35 is perfect for the small to medium sized panel processing shop, which needs an edgebander that packs a lot of features, has a relatively small footprint and is affordably priced.

The ME35 Edgebander features a glue pot with a quick heat-up system. The glue pot is Teflon coated to allow for easy clean up and easy glue replacement.
The system easily applies the glue to the panel with a vertical glue spreading roller, and the temperature is adjustable via the PLC control. The machine also has a device to automatically recover unused glue.
Thanks to the high frequency motors of the end cutting unit and of the in-line trimming unit, the reliability of the ME35 is unmatched. The maximum in precision, an optimal finishing level to an applied edge is always attained. With the absence of belts or other conventional driving systems, we have engineered less vibration into the unit, increasing reliability and high precision over the life of the machine.
The ME35 panel movement system is designed for a perfect finish, the very best finishing of the panel edge is further improved by the panel conveying track (SCM patent), which prevents the panel from having the feed affected by the typical pulse generated by the pinion of a traditional feed track.
The ME35 is equipped with saw blade end trimming. This saw blade trims both the front and rear leading edges of the panels being run. A new copying device ensures constant and precise trimming under all working conditions. Blade alignment with reference to the trimming point is carried out using the same copying device.
The ME35 features buffing and scraping stations as standard for finishing of 3mm PVC/ABS edges. The scraping system assures excellent finish, free of chatter marks, thanks to the heavy duty structure. The precise horizontal and vertical copying pads have chrome plated surfaces, and assure accurate positioning of the knives.
The buffing station includes high frequency motors for cleaning and polishing the edge. The unit is tilted, and vertically adjustable to optimize the polishing and cleanliness.
The control system for the ME35 is a simple and intuitive use of the error-free machining and is ensured by the control positioned on the front of the ME35 which allows an easy selection of all of the main functions. These functions include the operating unit switching on/off and the PLC unit guides the operator during maintenance, cleaning, diagnostic operations and more.
